Q: Is Akamai Kids Club, Inc. a school?
A: No. Akamai Kids Club, Inc. is a blended learning, enrichment and childcare center for students enrolled in public school grades K-5, or the homeschool equivalent (ages 5 – 12 years).

Q: What does Akamai Kids Club, Inc. offer?
A: The focus of Akamai Kids Club, Inc. is to support students, and their parents, as we navigate the unprecedented changes in our educational system this year. Through supervised distance learning support, on-site tutoring as needed, STEM activities and enrichment including music/art/language/PE we will bridge the gaps created by blended learning schedules at our local public schools.

Q: Does Akamai Kids Club, Inc. fit in with a homeschool curriculum?
A: Absolutely! Akamai Kids Club, Inc. offers academic collaborative support as well as enrichment and socialization in safe, small cohorts to add enrichment to your family’s existing (or new) homeschool program.

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Akamai Kids Club, Inc. is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, M-F. We are closed for all major holidays but will remain open during all intersession/public school breaks (i.e. Fall break, Winter break, Spring break).

Q: Are your teachers and staff all certified?
A: All of our teachers/staff are fully licensed by the Department of Health and are in compliance with all DHS requirements, including the successful passing of criminal background tests. Further, all of our teaching staff has extensive experience in the classroom at multiple elementary grade levels.

Q: Do you require the students to wear masks inside the student center all day?
A: No. The decision to send your child with a face mask/shield to wear during the day is a personal decision for your family. We respect each family’s ability to decide what is best for itself, however, we have policies and procedures in place to provide a clean and safe environment for your child(ren) and our community. Please be respectful of others who may or may not share your personal belief. Bullying, intimidation and offensive language will not be tolerated. Q: Does Akamai Kids Club, Inc. provide meals?
A: No. Although we may offer enrichment classes that incorporate cooking/meal prep, we do not serve daily lunch or snacks. It is each student’s responsibility to bring a healthy snack and lunch along with a refillable water bottle. Please

Q: Does Akamai Kids Club, Inc. offer any financial aid?
A: At this point, we currently do not have any in-house financial aid programs available. However, there are resources available through the County that may be able to help. Please
click here to be redirected to the State of Hawaii website for information on applying for Child Care Connection Hawaii (CCCH). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the income threshold requirements have been waived and/or reduced and assistance may be available.
